More British records were the order of the day at the World Champs in Doha, as Siobhan O’Connor added her third silver of the meet to GB’s seven-strong tally.
The 18 year old posted a classy swim on her way to the podium in the 200m Individual Medley, touching behind Hungary's Katinka Hosszu who lowered the world record for gold.
O’Connor said: “We’re having a good meet as GB: we had an amazing summer as a team so to come here to carry on a solid year is great. Its small team, but a close team.”
Adam Peaty was also back in action after a day’s rest, clocking a new 50m breaststroke British and Championship record to secure his place in the semi-finals at the head of the field.
Georgia Davies shaved 0.07secs off the British record in the 50m Backstroke, set by her housemate Fran Halsall in Tokyo in October. She qualified fifth fastest for tomorrow's final.
