Jazz Carlin, Lizzie Simmonds and Siobhan-Marie O’Connor all starred in their favourite events to land gold on the middle day of the Golden Tour Meet in Marseille.
European champion Carlin clocked a season’s best to win a thrilling 400m Freestyle final, edging out Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu by just 0.2 seconds at the end of the eight laps to take the touch in 4:05.55.
Simmonds followed up with her fastest time for more than a year in the 200m Backstroke, taking gold by more than three seconds in 2:09.28 while Leicester’s Candice Hall was sixth in 2:17.14.
Finally, 19-year old Commonwealth champion O’Connor, who won 200m Freestyle silver on the opening night, claimed gold in the 200m Individual Medley, setting 2:11.22 for the victory.
Among the other British finalists in Marseille, Lewis Coleman finished fourth in the 200m IM in 2:02.62, Jonathan Carlisle was fifth in the 200m Back in 2:01.87 and Chloe Tutton set a PB 32.30 for sixth place in the 50m Breast.
