Katherine Torrance claimed the first national junior title of her career with 1m Springboard gold on the penultimate day of the 2015 British Elite Junior Diving Championships in Plymouth.
While Torrance won individual medals at three consecutive Elite Junior Championships between 2011 and 2013, the 16-year old missed last year’s event through injury.
But, back firing on all cylinders this term, Torrance scored 403.40 to see off the attention of City of Leeds teammate Lydia Rosenthall (387.00) and Sheffield’s Millie Fowler (367.10).
Southampton’s Emily Martin, who won Platform silver on day two in Plymouth, claimed the Group B title on 310.35 with Crystal Palace’s Madeleine Sweet (305.90) taking silver and City of Leeds’ Amy Read (305.55) bronze.
Edinburgh diver James Heatly bagged the Group A 3m title, scoring an impressive 564.15 to finish ahead of Sheffield’s Ross Haslam (539.70) and Albatross Reading diver Seb Masterton (526.15).
Finally, Crystal Palace’s Noah Williams claimed the Group B 3m Springboard title, scoring 439.45 with City of Leeds pair Anthony Harding (412.95) and Oliver Crompton (388.90) taking the minor medals.
