City of Manchester moved a step closer to winning the clean sweep of U17 and U19 titles at the 2015 ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships.
They have done it before - as recently as 2013 - but after failing to win a single gold 12 months ago, it would be a remarkable return to the top of the domestic game.
The Championship finals are being hosted at Manchester Aquatics Centre and the crowd were clearly behind the home players as the Girls' U17 and U19 teams maintained their unbeaten record with semi-final victories.
Annie Clapperton has been one of the revelations of the campaign; the 14-year old taking her tally to 32 in eight games with a hat-trick in the U17 semi, then up to 26 from seven games in the U19 age group.
Manchester will face London Otter in both of the girls' finals after the London side overcame City of Liverpool in the youngest age group and Crawley in the U19s.
The Boys' finals will be against Sedgefield and Croydon Amphibians in the U17s and U19s respectively.
Both opponents qualified strongly, the former handing Exeter their first defeat in the U17 age group and the latter racking up the biggest winning margin of the day in the Boys' event to also see off Exeter.
