Joseph Pashley of Sheffield completed his hat-trick of golds, winning the Group C Platform with 229.10 points on the final day of the ASA National Diving Championships.
It was a competition to remember for the young diver who also won gold in the 1m, and 1m Synchro, plus a silver in the 3m Springboard. Teammate Frankie Curtis, who teamed up with Pashley for the Synchro, won silver with 211.70 and Max Lano of Southend received bronze (199.95).
Crystal Palace diver Eden Cheng scored 219.35 in the Girls C 3m Springboard to secure her second gold of the competition. She finished ahead of Southend’s Marney Easen on 210.45 and teammate Ellie Beardall-Edmondson who scored 199.50 to get the bronze medal.
Southampton divers also claimed a one-two in the Boys B 3m Springboard, Thomas Bailey (284.75) and Rhys Crookes (272.10) claimed gold and silver ahead of Crystal Palace’s Pele Julien, who took bronze with 267.25 despite a restarted dive.
Crystal Palace’s Annabel Triggs managed to step up to claim her first national title, taking the gold with 271.75. Charlotte West of Albatross Diving Club was awarded a silver for 266.20 and Luton’s Grace Kouset took bronze 252.00.
The West family were on form, as Charlotte’s younger brother James West finished his clean sweep of the Boys E2/D events with a third gold. He scored 161.20 for victory in the 1m Springboard. Max Spencer of Dive London finished on 157.30 for silver and Euan McCabe too bronze on 156.35.
