The ASA England Programmes Age Group synchronised swimmers headed to their second international meet of 2015 looking for improvement on the encouraging results at the Primorje Cup in July.
The Mediterranean Cup in Ostia, Italy saw the English athletes compete in the Solo, Duet, Team and Free Combination, showing some impressive performances across the four events to finish fifth overall.

Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe continued their good form this season to secure a top 10 place in the Duet prelims, scoring 71.3333, going on to maintain eighth place in the final, improving their routine score by more than two points up to 73.6667.
Shortman again finished ahead of some top synchro nations, scoring the 10th highest solo routine on 72.7667, before becoming the highest scoring of the English girls in the Figures event with 32nd on 73.4800, to rank 11th overall.
Having placed sixth in the Free Combination on 68.8333, the team improved their 10th place Team Free prelim performance for the final, finishing with the seventh best routine score of 71.2333, and eighth overall.
