Golden hat-trick for England Central's Rebecca Redfern
Rebecca Redfern was our top swimmer claiming three golds as well as lowering her own British Record.
The S13 swimmer claimed MC 100m Breaststroke in a new marker 1:20.14 before going on to add MC 50m and 100m Free golds to complete her hat-trick.
After day one's double, Redfern commented, “It’s weird to think I’ve won two golds at the Sainsbury’s School Games because I haven’t trained in a while. I definitely didn’t expect a British Record in the 100m Breaststroke either.
“This is such a great event, everyone just comes together and is a team. It’s my first year as part of the competition and I’ve loved it.”
