The European Games diving kicks off tomorrow, with World Series bronze medallist James Heatly and 16-year old Jordan Houlden first up for Team GB, in the 1m Springboard prelims.
Eleven British divers have travelled to Baku with Matty Lee, Matthew Dixon and Lois Toulson arriving fresh from the European Diving Championships in Rostock.
"This opportunity to experience a multi-sports environment first hand will be so valuable for my career." - Matty Lee
Divers will compete for medals in eight different events including 1m and 3m springboard, 10m platform and synchronised diving.
World Series silver medallist Lee will make his Games debut as he competes alongside British Champion Dixon in the 10m Platform.
“I am extremely excited to be part of Team GB for Baku 2015." Lee said. "This is the first ever European Games so adds to how prestigious the Games will be. I had to miss out on the Commonwealth Games last year because of injury so I think this opportunity to experience a multi-sports environment first hand will be so valuable for my career."
British Champion Lois Toulson will compete on the 10m Platform fresh from one of her first senior competitions.
Most of the team have competed together before at a European Juniors and will use their experience against the best in Europe.
