Great Britain’s swimmers produced some fantastic individual performances ending their World University Games campaign with one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
On the back of 400m Free gold and 800m Free bronze, Jay Lelliott was just pipped to fourth in a nailbiting 1500m Free final. Leading at half way Lelliott dropped back finishing just outside the medals in 15:07.84.
Also missing out on podium places were Max Litchfield and Joe Patching who finished fifth in the 400m IM and 200m Back respectively.
Kathryn Johnstone made it to the 50m Breast semis in 32.00 seconds but was unlucky to place sixth in her semi touching in 31.48, just missing out on a spot in the final.
For the team’s final race Patching and Lelliott teamed up with silver medallist James Wilby and Cameron Brodie, coming fifth in the 400m Medley Relay in 3.38.02.
