A Target Tokyo group of swimmers has been selected to compete alongside their senior British teammates heading to Rio at next month’s LEN European Championships in London from 16 to 22 May.
British Swimming will use the event to continue the development of a group of athletes identified as potential Tokyo 2020 Olympians.
The group of swimmers, identified by performances at the British Championships in Glasgow this month, will compete alongside their senior British teammates as they develop their experience and skills.
“A home European Championships represents a great opportunity to expose athletes targeting the Tokyo Olympics to high level international competition,” explained Tim Jones, British Swimming Head of Performance Pathway.
